New trams to go in streets of Minsk

The project is an innovative development of the Stadler Minsk enterprise. The new vehicle that is called Metelitsa (the Russian for ‘snowstorm’) is equipped with a climate control system, light emitting diodes, and a navigation system. It also provides comfortable conditions for people with special needs. The tram is 27 metres long and it allows accommodating more than 250 passengers. Drivers are now undergoing training.

At first, the Metelitsa tram will go on the longest route – Zeliony Lug—Serebrianka. This tram has already been put in service in Moscow, Samara, and Krasnodar. Saint Petersburg also ordered 23 Belarusian trams.
